A hand-built graduate recruitment microsite, no page builder

Greenhill is an investment banking advisory firm. We designed and built a dedicated graduate recruitment microsite, coded from scratch with no page builder, matched precisely to their corporate brand, and we maintain it for them year-round.

The brief

Like many firms, Greenhill runs graduate recruitment on its own calendar and wanted a dedicated site for it, distinct from the main corporate site but visually part of the same firm. A prospective graduate should move from the corporate brand to the recruitment site without noticing a seam.

The defining requirement here was how it was to be made. This was to be a genuine bespoke design and build: hand-coded, with no page builder underneath. That decision drives everything that follows, the fidelity of the brand match, the performance, and how cleanly the site can be maintained over years.

What we built, and how

A graduate recruitment microsite, designed to sit seamlessly within Greenhill's brand and built from scratch in code, with no page builder or drag-and-drop framework anywhere in it.

  • Hand-coded throughout. Every element is written, not assembled from a template library, which is what makes an exact brand match achievable rather than approximate.
  • Brand-faithful to the corporate site, so the look and feel carries across from the main Greenhill identity without compromise.
  • Lean and maintainable. Without a page builder's overhead, the site stays fast and its codebase stays clean, which is precisely what makes it dependable to maintain over time.

Page builders are quick to start and expensive to live with: bloated markup, fights with the design, and a ceiling on how closely you can match an existing brand. Building by hand removes that ceiling. It is more work upfront and it is the reason the result holds up.

How it shipped

We designed and built the microsite to the same level of attention to detail we bring to every brand-match engagement, then stayed on to maintain it. Graduate recruitment has busy periods, the weeks when schemes are live, and a hand-built site is far easier to keep dependable through them precisely because there is no page-builder layer to second-guess.

We remain on hand for the firm's queries and keep the site current and secure, so the recruitment season runs without surprises.

The result

Greenhill has a graduate recruitment site that reads as a natural part of their brand and is built on foundations that last: hand-written code, no page-builder bloat, and a clean codebase that stays fast and dependable. Because we maintain it, the quality holds season after season rather than degrading as a template ages.

The site is live and maintained. As with the firms we work with on graduate recruitment, this is an ongoing relationship rather than a delivered-and-gone project.
